Practice Productive Disagreement

WORKSHOP: A structured and respectful debate format inspired by the US non-profit Braver Angels, designed to help all attendees practice disagreeing well. WEXFO program volunteer Sam Rechek, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Braver Angels, will chair this structured debate. Participants will be invited to offer speeches for and against a resolution carefully designed to generate a spicy discussion. Speakers alternate between arguments for and against the resolution, addressing all remarks to Sam to ensure civility and focus. The session concludes with a shared reflection on the experience of productive disagreement.
