Journalist and activists in extreme situations: How to keep working – a discussion about best practices.

Governments and companies around the world create obstacles for independent voices (journalists, activists, artists, citizens, and others) including with threats and violence. In armed conflict the risks for reporters and independent voices increase manifold, to the detriment of freedom of speech. Consequently, reporters and independent voices have come up with several inventive ways of protecting the flow of information and opinion in extreme situations. This workshop will focus on sharing of experiences and discussing best practices

Moderator: Aage Borcgrevink
