Holds a master's degree in African literature and culture, with graduate studies in law and political science. Formerly served as a project coordinator for Norway's most important literary prize Brageprisen and the Nordic Conference for Educational Publishers and EdTech. Currently a board member at the Norwegian vocational school for bookselling, a deputy board member of Norwegian Arts Abroad and a member of the council of The Norwegian Festival of Literature.

Heela Yoon is a 26-year-old peacebuilder, climate activist, and education advocate, recognized globally for her work. As the Founder and Executive Director of the Afghan Youth Ambassadors for Peace Organization (AYAPO), she has spearheaded programs that have empowered Afghan girls and fostered peace across conflict-affected regions. With over five years of experience, Heela has worked with INGOs on communications and humanitarian initiatives, impacting communities in countries such as Afghanistan, Myanmar, and the Philippines. She has been honored as a United Nations Young Leader for the SDGs and serves as an External Board Member for the UK FCDO, advising on strategies for women's empowerment. Source: heelayoon.com
