About WEXFO Youth

World Expression Forum is a driving force for cooperation between activists and organizations that work with youth and freedom of expression. Our youth programs are consolidated under the name WEXFO Youth. 

WEXFO Youth creates meeting places for young people, collaborative projects, networks for organizations and activists. Our events include WEXFO Young Voices, WEXFO Utøya Young Experts, WEXFO More Young Voices and WEXFO Youth Network Conference, some of which are organized in collaboration with partners.

A platform for cooperation, coordination, and dissemination

WEXFO Youth serves as a platform for cooperation, coordination, and dissemination, allowing organizations and activists working on shared issues related to youth and freedom of expression to meet, exchange experiences, and learn from each other. The need for such a platform is one of the key findings in the report titled “Youth’s Participation in Society – Examples of Initiatives Implemented to Improve Participation.”

Network for organizations

WEXFO Youth serves as a network for organizations working with youth and freedom of expression, researchers, and others from schools, universities, libraries, content providers, and reading promotion organizations. We work to engage young people and their organizations in this collaborative effort.

WEXFO Youth aims to reach out globally to expand our partner network and will host at least one network conference each year, in connection with the WEXFO congress.
