Emmanuel Ganse

In Benin, Emmanuel GANSE works to raise awareness among young people about non-violence education and conflict mediation techniques. This involves organizing training workshops for youth, women, and police officers to discuss their roles in preventing violent extremism, combating radicalization, and preventing recruitment into terrorist cells. Emmanuel’s efforts extend beyond Benin, as he is a true international expert in youth engagement, advocacy, and mobilization. In October, in Astana, Kazakhstan, he advocated for interfaith tolerance and respect for human rights during the first World Forum of Young Religious Leaders. Prior to that, he participated in an UNESCO consultation on protecting the right to education in Africa, discussing how to ensure this right for youth even in times of crisis, which took place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. His commitment also includes the fight against organized misinformation. Emmanuel trains young people to use their voices to defend just causes on social media by producing content that resonates with them. In September, he organized a blog camp that brought together 100 young people to discuss innovative techniques for facing digital opposition to sexual and reproductive health rights, in partnership with the Benin Bloggers Association.
