Erlend Kaldestad Hanstveit (born 1981) is State Secretary in the Ministry of Culture and Equality for Minister Lubna Jaffery. Hanstveit was appointed 11 August 2023. Hanstveit holds an Executive Master of Management from BI Norwegian Business School and has previously been the leader of the Norwegian Athlete Association, NISO, which is a Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO) member. During his years in NISO he has particularly been involved in processes relating to closing the gender gap in sports. Hanstveit is also a former professional football player and has played more than 400 games for clubs in Norway, Sweden and Belgium.
