Gérard Biard has been writing for Charlie Hebdo since 1992. He has been editor-in-chief since 2004. He fights racism, antisemitism, sexism, and bad musical tastes. He defends french laïcité — wich is different than secularism — and gender equality without religious, community or cultural accommodations. He believes that we can laugh at anything, and that the only valid question is why we laugh at it. He finds that those who say they do not belong neither to left nor to right are mostly belonging to right-wing. You won’t find him on Facebook, X or Instagram, or any other social networks, so it’s useless to try to find him to tell him to f*** his mother, or to send him a picture of that really good pizza you’re eating. He’s not a Mossad agent. Gerard Biard is born in 1959, so he’s definitely a boomer. He will not be offended if you call him that way.
