Karam S. Nachar is a Syrian writer and academic. He is co-founder and co-editor of Al-Jumhuriya, an award-winning independent media platform that provides in-depth coverage and analysis from Syria and the Arab world.
Besides his work with Al-Jumhuriya, Nachar is a lecturer in Modern Middle Eastern history at Isik University, Istanbul. He holds a PhD in Modern History from Princeton, an MA in Middle Eastern Studies from Oxford, and a BA in Political Science from the American University of Beirut.
