Ketil Magnussen is the founder and director of Oslo Dokumentarkino (The Oslo Documentary Cinema) and HUMAN International Documentary Film Festival, formerly known as Human Rights Human Wrongs. Since 2003, he has worked with documentary film as a platform for public conversation, knowledge sharing and engagement with social and political issues.His work focuses on creating spaces where documentary films can be followed by informed discussion and exchange between different perspectives. Through Oslo Dokumentarkino and HUMAN, he has organized and hosted a large number of film screenings and debates, often in collaboration with filmmakers, researchers, journalists, civil society organizations, activists and public institutions.He has a background in history and political science from the University of Oslo (BA) and studies of innovation processes from the University of Maastricht (MA). He also has many years of experience in project management and consulting for private companies and public institutions, particularly in the strategic use of IT and internet technologies.
