The Art of Saving the Democracy

Breakout session and workshop featuring a keynote speech by cartoonist and artivist Morshed Mishu, followed by a panel including Ukrainian artist Jamala, writer Carlos Egaña, communications leader Charlotte Harder Nielsen, adviser in diversity, inclusion and talent development Nedin Mutic, and artist Mohammed Elsusi.

The panel will be discussing the silencing of artists' voices and how to fight back.

The workshop will dig deeper into the topic Art as Catalyst for Change. This part be facilitated by the Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue and involve the audience in a so-called Public Dialogue – a communication methodology developed by the Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue, focusing on facilitating inclusive and open conversations about topics that engage people. The goal of People's Dialogue is to counteract polarization and tensions in local communities, ensure inclusive processes and decision-making, and create safe spaces for difficult conversations.
