Razan Abou-watfa is a passionate activist known for turning conviction into action. With a background in political science and currently pursuing a Master of Science in Risk Analysis at UiS, she combines academic knowledge with on-the-ground organising. As a leading voice in her community, she founded and now leads a local chapter of Studenter for Palestina Stavanger since November 2023, a student organization advocating for Palestinian rights. Razan played a key role in organizing and sustaining a powerful encampment in 2024 in solidarity with Palestine, leading her university to sever all ties with Israeli institutions – a historic victory. Her speeches earned recognition for their clarity, strength and emotional depth. Through her leadership, Razan mobilized students, built coalitions and collaborations, strengthened the organization, and challenged institutions to act with integrity and accountability, turning activism into tangible change. In addition to her activism, she has diverse professional experience, including experience in business development at Rogaland County Municipality and activity management from the Red Cross. She currently works as a library assistant at her university in addition to freelance interpreting.
